So let's talk about how to keep it lasting for generations to come.
First of all NEVER EVER put your cutting board in the Dishwasher or Soak in water.
So you are thinking How do I clean my beautiful cutting board?
Well, wash it off with hot soapy water, rinse off soapy water with hot water, then you will want to dry it off directly afterwards.
After your cutting board is all clean and dry, if you chopped your favorite raw meat you will want to squeeze Lemon Juice on the board and re-rince. The acid in the lemon juice kills bacteria from raw meats.
Your final step in keeping your new cutting board lasting for generations is appling Conditioner on it. You can apply ONLY Food grade Mineral Oil or you can apply our own 357 WoodWorks Board Butter. Our Board Butter is made with food grade mineral oil, bees wax and carnauba wax. You can follow this last step any time you like, and depending how often you use your beautiful new cutting board!
My wife uses her cutting board daily and we condition hers about every 3 months and it looks as good as the day I built it for her (over 2 years ago).
